How do I register as an agent?
You will go to the home page of the AOIVS website and click on Registration. On the registration page you will need to enter your producer license number (assigned by the Arkansas Insurance Department) and your birthdate. You will then follow the prompts to set up your agent account.

What if I don’t know my producer license number?
You can search for the producer license number in the Arkansas Insurance Department (AID) website or contact AID.

I’m an Agent. What is my user name?
The user name will be the producer license number issued by the AID that was used to register the account. The user name cannot be changed.

How can we correct/change the contact information for my account?
Log in to the AOIVS.com website, click on Account Information, and change the contact information.

I have forgotten my password. How do I reset it?
You can reset your password by selecting the Forgot Password link located on the log in screen of the AOIVS website. After selecting this link you must provide the answer to the secret question. A temporary password will be sent to your email.

How do I change my web account password?
Login to the www.AOIVS.com website using your username and password, Select 'Account Information' in the top menu, Check the 'Do you want to update your password?' check box and follow the steps. If you have previously submitted a secret question and answer, then the answer will be needed to modify the password.

What if a citizen received a AOIVS notice and has insurance?
If the citizen has insurance, they will need to contact their insurance company or agent. The insurance company or agent will then need to electronically transmit the insurance information using the AOIVS website. The customer must provide the reference number from the letter in order to submit the insurance information.

What if a citizen received an AOIVS notice and the vehicle is inoperable or stored?
If the vehicle is INOPERABLE or STORED, the citizen can electronically submit the information to AOIVS using the www.AOIVS.com website and the reference number at the top of this letter. The insurance agent or company can also do this on behalf of the citizen.

What if a citizen received an AOIVS notice and the customer’s vehicle has been sold?
If the vehicle is SOLD, the citizen can electronically submit the information to AOIVS using the www.AOIVS.com website and the reference number at the top of this letter. The insurance agent or company can also do this on behalf of the citizen.

What happens if the citizen does not respond to the AOIVS notice?
If the citizen fails to comply with this notice by the Due Date, the registration will be suspended and the citizen will be charged $100.00 to reinstate registration privileges.

The citizen is unable to complete a registration transaction because insurance is not confirmed. How can the citizen show proof of insurance?
The citizen should obtain current proof of insurance dated within the last 30 days from the insurance company or agent to show to the DFA. If the citizen still has issues, the citizen or insurer can contact the Motor Vehicle Help desk contact number (1.888.682.0005) or send an email to MV.OnlineInsurance@dfa.arkansas.gov

How can the citizen pay the fee for not maintaining insurance?
The fee can be paid online through the AOIVS website. The make payment option will appear when itspast the due date of the letter or there has been a lapse in coverage.

How many notices will the citizen receive?
The citizen will only receive one notice. There may be mulitple vehicles listed on the notice. There will be no clearance letter sent. The agent/company or customer can verify their status through the AOIVS website

What if the citizen no longer wants to maintain insurance?
The citizen can turn their plate into their local revenue office and it will be ceased. The customer can cease their plate at any time but unless they can prove they had insurance from the letter date without a lapse in coverage the reinstatement fee will be due.

Will a suspension on a vehicle stop the citizen from making transactions on other vehicles?
When the customers registration is suspended it will only be for the vehicle or vehicles that have the suspension. If the citizen has a suspension on their vehicle they will not be able to complete any other transactions for that vehicle without clearance from DFA or paying the $100.00 reinstatement fee.
